The congregation of Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce the selection of Reverend Karl E. Schwarz as their new solo pastor. We are filled with gratitude and love for Pastor Karl for his leadership and pastoral support over the last 2 years in his role as our interim Pastor. We have been fortunate to experience his strong faith, spirit, teaching, preaching and compassion during this time of pandemic and its many challenges. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with Pastor Karl as we continue to share the good news of God’s love in North Dallas and the surrounding community! Go to bentwoodtrail.org to learn more about Karl and his ministry.

Upcoming Events
Stewardship Opportunity: Family Gateway
Thursday, January 26th to Sunday, February 12th at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church
Our second volunteer opportunity for February is helping to brighten Valentine’s Day for our friends at Family Gateway, the family homeless shelter nearby. This will be just one of our many efforts to support them this year. Our hope is to provide Valentine’s Day Cupcakes for the residents to help them enjoy this special day. They house fifty (50) parents and one hundred twenty-seven (127) children, so we would like to provide 400 decorated cupcakes, either homemade or store bought. They will be served when the children get home from school on Valentine's Day. These will need to be brought to the church on Sunday, February 12th. To sign up – please see Steve Jebbia in the Narthex after service or email the office at bkolle@bentwoodtrail.org.
Stewardship Opportunity: Souperbowl of Caring (Minnie's Food Pantry)
Thursday, January 26th to Sunday, February 19th at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church
Our February Stewardship Sunday effort will support the Souper Bowl of Caring which helps people across America develop a stronger connection to the communities by caring for those in need. This year we will once again do a food drive supporting our neighbors at Minnie’s Food Pantry located in downtown Plano. Minnie’s provides free food to families, and we have compiled a list of ten (10) items that are desperately needed at this time. These items include the following: Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cereal, Boxed Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni and Cheese, Spaghetti, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Mixed Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Kids Snack Items (granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers etc.), or $25 Gift Cards to grocery stores like Walmart, Target, Tom Thumb, etc.

Please drop off your donations at BTPC no later than Sunday, February 19th. The drop box is located by the Narthex’s door under the portico should you need to drop off your donation at a time other than Sunday.
